Fall Retreat

To kick off our 19th season, we are delighted to announce the third annual GNOYO 2011 Fall Retreat! The retreat will include an introduction to the fall repertoire, ice-breakers, outdoor and indoor activities, and sectionals featuring prominent musician educators from the region. It will be a time for musicians to get to know and interact with their peers and respective conductors. Students will be chaperoned by GNOYO staff counselors and the music director. The retreat is a mandatory element in the program that will enrich and nurture our GNOYO community.

The retreat fee is included in the 2012-13 season orchestra program tuition.

Please pack light!

  • wire stand
  • instrument
  • 2 mechanical pencils
  • music books and parts
  • comfortable clothing
  • walking shoes
  • personal medication
  • sleeping bag (for overnight ensembles)
  • pillows (for overnight ensembles)
  • toiletries (for overnight ensembles)
    • Soap and towels will be provided, but if you need shampoo, conditioner, etc., you must bring your own.
  • watch or alarm clock
  • tissues
  • cell phone or a phone card (not permitted during instructional sessions)
  • snacks
  • change for vending machines
  • deck of playing cards or games you enjoy

GNOYO will not assume responsibility for any lost or damaged items. We recommend that no valuable items, such as jewelry, be brought with you.
